There are many ways to use Agua Florida but some of my favorites are to use it at your altar to clear away negative energy by adding a few drops to alter water, or misting your altar and surrounding area. You can also use it to clear and cleanse the energy of your space by adding some to mop or cleaning water before mopping floors or wiping down doorways, sealing in any intentions you set and protecting yourself against negative energy. 

An easy on-the-go ritual with Agua Florida starts with rubbing your hands together until your palms feel warm to gather and concentrating your energy. Add a few drops of Agua Florida to the palms of your hands and clap 3 times to activate your sacred source energy. Use your hands in a sweeping motion over your energetic body moving away from your heart space, going from head to toe while keeping your hands a few inches off your skin. As you do this, imagine energetic chords being cut and breathe deeply to ground yourself in your physical body. End by pressing your hands to your skin, starting with the back of your neck and then working your way down your body hitting all major joints, imagining a door closing and saying out loud “I close my doors and seal my energy” as you go through each spot.

Agua Florida does contain alcohol so we don’t recommend spraying or using it directly on your skin or face (although it is traditionally and often still used this way). Alcohol is drying to the skin and causes increased sensitivity to the sun. 

Do a patch test on your skin before regular use. Discontinue use if allergic reaction occurs. Avoid sun exposure after contact with skin. DO NOT drink Agua Florida and store it away from children, in a cool dark place, away from direct sunlight.
