Grow your Own Backyard Medicine Garden in SF
Do you dream of growing your own medicine or food but feel like it’s impossible in the city? Whether or not you only have a small patio or have an expansive open yard, if you're a renter or a home owner - I’m here to support you in designing and installing your very own medicine garden in SF. I’ve started gardens in different microclimates all over the bay with a focus on native and medicinal plants and want to help you start yours too! Together we can transform an urban cityscape into a green oasis for pollinators, birds, and humans alike. This interactive service teaches you how to take care of your new plant relatives long after we’re gone.
You’ll learn not only how to plant, but also how to care for the land where you live. We’ll bring play and creativity into the process and create a space for you and your family to connect.
Our services include:
- An opening ceremony with your land, allowing us to connect with the space and plan for its future with the earth itself getting to be part of the conversation.
- Planning & designing the garden of your dreams - we’ll sit down and discuss what your vision for the space is and what the earth has to offer given any sun and space constraints. We’ll then come up with a plan for you to start building the garden of your dreams.
- Garden installation - get your hands dirty as we install your garden together allowing you and your family to be an integral part of establishing the space and knowing how to care for it.
- Follow up - after installation we’ll have a closing debrief session about maintenance and harvesting. I’ll go over any questions that have come up around maintenance, show you how to harvest from your plants and preserve them and make sure you feel confident moving forward with your very own outdoor oasis.
